Cameroon is implementing its second National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (SNDS 2) adopted in 2014 and which covers the period 2015–2020. Each year, this strategy is the subject of an evaluation, the report of which is drawn up in conjunction with the members of the National Statistical Information System (SNIS). In 2018, the SNIS carried out the mid-term evaluation of the strategy. The aim is to analyse the discrepancies between the results recorded and those expected on the one hand, and to make the necessary revisions on the other. This mid-term report is structured around five parts, namely: the evolution of the statistical environment, the organization and functioning of the SNIS, the coverage of the statistical program, the main results achieved by axis, the difficulties encountered and the recommendations.
