Producer prices in the wood industries (except furniture) slightly lower
Starting from a very small increase recorded in the fourth quarter of 2019 (1%), production prices in the woodworking and wood products industries recorded a decrease of 0.5% in the first quarter of 2020 compared to the previous quarter. It should be noted that the first quarter corresponds to the dry season in the main log production basins and this has an impact on the acquisition costs of logs, the main input in the activity.

The chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries recorded a 0.3% decrease in producer prices in the first quarter of 2020. This is the second consecutive after the one observed in the fourth quarter of 2019
