Cameroon joined the international community in celebrating the38th edition of International Women’s Day under the theme:
“For an inclusive digital world: innovation and technologies for gender equality”.

For the ladies of the INS, it was a festive day, rich in sounds and colors. Beautiful and elegant in their outfits, they took part in the big parade at the Boulevard du 20 mai. Dressed in their finest attire, the Amazons of the INS marked time to the rhythm of the brass bands of the National Institute of Youth and Sports (INJS), under the loud ovations of the audience.

After the stage of the parade at the Boulevard, the women of the INS met in a warm atmosphere with their male colleagues to share the meal offered by the General Management. The Deputy Director General, Mr. Joseph SHE ETOUNDI, who came to carry the message of the Director General, welcomed the success of this event, encouraged the women for their strong involvement and invited the men of the Institute to further support their female colleagues in the organization of Women’s Week activities.

As a reminder, to launch the festivities, the women of the INS participated in several activities during the week preceding the celebration of IWD. On Thursday, March 02, 2023, they organized a round table at the INS hall and discussed three themes, including digital inclusion and women’s empowerment; highlighting the need to protect women and children in digital spaces and an educational talk on the impact of soul wounds in couples’ lives.

On Friday, March 03, 2023, they took part in a dancesport session at the INS gym under the guidance of a sports coach. For more than an hour, they jumped and turned to the rhythm of the sounds of the land.

As a final bouquet of these activities, the ladies showcased their culinary talents during a gastronomic day organized on Monday, March 06, 2023. They presented and promoted traditional Cameroonian dishes such as Koki, water-fufu and eru, sanga, taro with yellow sauce, mbongo, etc.
