The Statistical Yearbook of the Northern Region is a publication of the National Institute of Statistics that presents data on economic and social activities. It is designed to ensure that the NSI’s primary vocation is to meet the statistical information needs regularly expressed by the government, the various development partners, the scientific community, and the population. This is one of the activities implemented as part of the monitoring of the implementation of the CESP and the SDGs. The National Institute of Statistics has thus, as part of the establishment of its decentralised structures, instituted the preparation of regional statistical yearbooks as the main activity of the specifications of these agencies.
The statistical yearbook is a reference directory that compiles economic and social information for a given period and a specific economic area. This document contains data, indicators and metadata for the main sectors of socio-economic development. The information presented is quantitative or qualitative and is useful for any decision-making.
