Inflation trends in the first half of 2012

Price increase of 2.5%. Household final consumer prices rose by 0.7% in the first half of 2012 in comparison with the previous half-year. The increase is 2.5% year-on-year and 2.7% on average over the last twelve months. The increase in the general price level is largely due to the increase in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages (3.9%), and to the increase in the prices of clothing and footwear (3.7%) and food and hotel services (3.5%).
