PILOT SURVEY OF DISPLACED HOUSEHOLDS IN THE CENTRAL REGION

Since 2013, Cameroon has been facing sporadic incursions by the Islamic sect Boko Haram as well as socio-political claims during the second quarter of 2016 that have led to huge population movements. The main regions concerned are the three in the northern part (Far North, North and Adamawa), the East region and the two English-speaking regions of the country.The Multisectoral Needs Assessment of Internally Displaced Persons (EBMS) Pilot Survey aims to provide the government and the humanitarian community with data for a holistic understanding of the intersectoral needs of displaced populations in the Central Region. This is to better guide policy decisions, the system of humanitarian actors, and to provide a global overview of the needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Central region.The EBMS provides an overview of the multidimensional needs of internally displaced people in the Central Region. This pilot survey was conducted among a random sample of IDP households across the Central Region.
