Regional agencies
The Regional Agencies of the INS are located in the ten (10) Regional Capitals.
Placed under the authority of a Head of Agency, the Regional Agency of the Institute is, in its area of competence, responsible for:
- the representation of the Institute;
- the coordination of local statistical production;
- the coordination and implementation of survey and census operations;
- the development of the region’s Social Dashboard;
- the production of quarterly notes on the evolution of prices, on industrial production, on the production of services;
- the production of the regional economic bulletin;
- the compilation of statistics on cross-border trade;
- the production of the regional statistical yearbook;
- the dissemination of statistical standards and concepts;
- the compilation of statistics on forestry and mining;
- the collection and entry of statistical and tax returns, in conjunction with the Regional Tax Services;
- the dissemination and archiving of statistical information;
- the implementation of partnerships established with decentralized local authorities for the realization of surveys, joint studies or publications;
- the promotion of statistics.
In addition to the Head of Agency, it includes:
- Two (02) Research Officers, one (01) of whom is specifically responsible for the monitoring of the productive sectors;
- Four (04) Assistant Research Officers, including one (01) specifically responsible for the monitoring of companies;
- one (01) Head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department.
