Composition of the NSC
The CNS is chaired by the Minister of Economic Affairs, Programming and Regional Planning. It includes:
- A representative of the Presidency of the Republic;
- A representative of the Prime Minister’s Office;
- A representative of the National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies (ANTIC);
- A representative of the National Communication Council;
- A representative of the National Committee for Human Rights and Freedoms (CNDHL);
- Two representatives of Parliament;
- A representative of the Economic and Social Council;
- One representative from each ministry;
- A representative of the office of the Trade Union Confederation of Workers of Cameroon (CSTC);
- A representative of the Free Union of Trade Unions of Cameroon (USLC);
- Three representatives of the other professional unions;
- A representative of the Union of Industrialists of Cameroon (SYNDUSTRICAM);
- One representative of each employers’ group in Cameroon;
- A representative of the National Order of Chartered Accountants of Cameroon (ONECCA);
- A representative of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Handicrafts of Cameroon;
- A representative of the Chamber of Agriculture, Livestock and Forestry of Cameroon;
- A representative of the Professional Association of Credit Institutions of Cameroon (APECAM);
- A representative of the Cameroon Insurance Association (ASAC);
- A representative of the National Association of Microfinance Institutions (EMF);
- A representative of the Cameroonian Bar Association;
- The Director General of the National Institute of Statistics;
- The Director General of the Central Bureau of Censuses and Population Studies (BUCREP);
- The Director of the National Center for Computer Development (CENADI);
- The Director of Forecasting/MINFIB;
- The Director of Customs/MINFIB;
- The Director of Taxes/MINFIB;
- The President of the CTS;
- The President of the National Competitiveness Committee;
- The Director of Budget/MINFIB;
- The Director of Programmes and Projects/MINEPAT;
- The Director of Spatial Planning/MINEPAT;
- The Director of Planning and Development;
- The National Director of the BEAC;
- The Director General of the SNI;
- The Director General of the NSIF;
- The Director of the National Institute of Cartography (INC);
- The Director General of the Autonomous Amortisation Fund (CAA);
- The Director General of the National Employment Fund (FNE);
- A representative of the National Employment Observatory;
- One representative from each university including ISSEA and IFORD;
- A representative of the Association of Economic Journalists of Cameroon (AJEC);
- Two representatives of the Professional Organizations of Statistics and Demography.
During the sessions, the president of the council may call on any person of his choice according to his or her skills or according to the items on the agenda.
The permanent secretariat of the CNS is provided by the NSI, which is responsible for the preparation of its work and the monitoring of the execution of its acts
