The Board of Directors
The Board of Directors and the General Management are the management bodies of the National Institute of Statistics
The Board of Directors is composed of ten (10) members and is chaired by a person appointed by decree of the President of the Republic.
It includes the following members
- a representative of the Presidency of the Republic;
- a representative of the Prime Minister’s Office;
- a representative of the Ministry of Statistics;
- a representative of the Ministry of Finance;
- a representative of the Ministry in charge of population policy;
- a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture;
- a representative of the Ministry in charge of Industry;
- a representative of employers’ groups;
- a representative of the Institute’s staff.
The Management of the Institute is placed under the authority of a Director General possibly assisted by a Deputy Director General, both appointed by decree of the President of the Republic for a term of three (03) years renewable two (02) times.
