The purpose of these guidelines is to enable the SNIS structures to set up and operate their SIS in order to capitalise on administrative data for the production of quality statistics. This implementation of the SIS should make it possible, among other things, (i) to broaden the base of information available for official statistical production, (ii) reduce the costs of maintaining or
develop the existing one, (iii) limit the statistical burden on respondents, and (iv) to promote a greater updating and better quality of the statistics produced.
