The general objective of this training is to make the DEVINFO technology accessible to all staff of the National Statistical Information System (SNIS) and thus allow them to use its functionalities to improve the monitoring/evaluation of programs in their respective administrations.

Specifically, this activity aims to train sixty-four people from the SNIS in the administration, adaptation and use of DevInfo databases (particularly the WEB version: DEVINFO 7.0) for the monitoring of programs.

At the end of the training, it is expected that participants will be able to:

  • use DevInfo for program monitoring;
  • administer and configure a DevInfo database;
  • manipulate basemaps in DevInfo.

The work is being carried out in three waves organised as follows:

Wave 1 (from 06 to 10 January 2013):
It concerns representatives of the central services of the INS (14 representatives), the following sectoral ministries and the major statistical schools: MINSANTE, MINAS, MINPROFF, MINEPAT, MINJEUN, MINJUSTICE, MINCOM, MINTSS, MINFOPRA, BUCREP, IFORD

Wave 2 (January 13-17, 2013):
It concerns representatives of the central services of the INS (14 participants), the following sectoral ministries and the major statistical schools: MINADER, MINEPIA, MINFI, MINESEC; MINEDUB, MINESUP, MINEE, MINEFOP, ISSEA and MINATD.

Wave 3 (January 20 to 24, 2013):
In the current context marked by the effective implementation of the decentralization process, the wave 3 training workshop concerns 14 executives of the regional agencies of the INS who, at the end of the training, will be responsible for promoting the tool to the regional delegates of the ministries of their region of competence.

This training is taking place in Yaoundé and has benefited from funding from the Reform and Public Finance Support Programme (PARFIP) statistical component, the result of the CAMEROON-EUROPEAN UNION Cooperation
