The match took place on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Mundi club and ended in a draw of two goals each.
On the sidelines of the activities organized during the month of statistics for the current year, the lions of the National Institute of Statistics (INS) delivered a moving match against the Mutual of the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI). The meeting between these two institutions took place on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the Mundi Sports Complex.
The public, strongly represented by the staff who came to support and encourage their colleagues, was already in the match, well before the kick-off of the games at 4:40 p.m., by the Director General of the INS, Mr. Joseph TEDOU, the first supporter of the statisticians. With a good possession of the ball by the team of the Institute from the beginning of the game, the bib n°11 Mr. Patrice TALOM opened the scoring, only four minutes after the start of the match. An eruption of joy in the very euphoric audience who screamed, jubilated and enjoyed this already eventful encounter.
The match gained in intensity and eleven minutes later, the DGI responded and equalized. It was 4:55 p.m. when the score was 1-1. Both teams, determined to win the game, gave their all to maintain the rhythm. In the crowd, the fans held their breath while on the field of play the INS defence was at its best and did not want to let any scoring opportunity pass them by. On the DGI side, there is no question of giving in so easily. At 5:12 p.m., bib number 7, Mr. ALOGO made a beautiful shot directly leading the ball into the goal; it was a second goal in favor of the INS.
The second part of the match, shortened by 15 minutes, continued very quickly. Between free kicks and substitutions, the game evolves at a different pace. This time with a strong domination of the DGI. Thanks to a penalty, the bib n°19 of the Mutuelle des Impôts equalized and brought the score to 2 goals each. In the final minutes before the stoppage of play, the two teams, furious and defensive, continued in the hope of scoring one last goal to separate them.
At 6:04 p.m., the referee blew the whistle for stopping play. In the end, it is collegiality and living together that prevails. The match ended in a 2-2 draw. The two teams headed in procession to the Scalom crossroads, a place of rejoicing and sharing for comfort after the effort.
