The National Institute of Statistics of Cameroon is pleased to present the 2019 edition of the Cameroon Statistical Yearbook.
The Statistical Yearbook of Cameroon is a reference publication for general statistical information in the economic and social fields. This book, which is designed as a working tool, allows readers to access, without difficulty, the available statistical data.
Like the previous editions, this edition consists of four parts:
The first part situates Cameroon in its physical framework and its institutional, administrative and judicial organization. It incorporates some historical landmarks to better understand the evolution of Cameroon.
The second part, in addition to socio-demographic data, housing, education and health, focuses on the living conditions of the population, the phenomenon of poverty and employment in Cameroon.
The third part traces the situation of the country’s economy, through the indicators and information produced by the competent administrations and organizations in the agricultural, forestry, commercial and industrial fields. The management of the economy is traced through national accounts and public finances.
The fourth part, by presenting the characteristics of some African countries and the rest of the world, allows us to compare Cameroon with these countries for a better appreciation of its level of development.
