Food prices remain stable
In September 2021 and compared to last month, the Household Final Consumer Price Index (CPI) continued to rise (+0.2% as in the previous month), largely resulting from the rebound in the prices of “housing, water, gas, electricity and other fuels” (+1.1% after -0.2% the previous month). Compared to the same period in 2020, consumer prices are increasing at the same pace as last month (+2.0%). On average over the last twelve months, household final consumer prices rose by 1.7% in September 2021, as in the previous month. The core inflation rate stands at +0.9% after +0.8% last month.
