The National Institute of Statistics, through its Regional Coastal Agency, is pleased to present the 2023 edition of the document entitled “The Coastline in figures”. This brief collection offers a presentation of the region and is now one of the publications of the Regional Agency, in addition to the regional statistical yearbook. This initiative is part of the broader framework of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (SNDS), the main objective of which is to provide Cameroon, as well as its regions, with an efficient Regional Statistical Information System (SRIS), capable of meeting the needs of the user community. The 2023 edition of the document “The Coastline in figures” benefited from the contribution of all the administrations responsible for the production of statistical information at the regional level. This compilation of statistical information is structured around the four pillars of the National Development Strategy 2020-2030 (SND30). It is divided into 16 chapters grouped into five main parts: general information, structural transformation of the economy, development of human capital and well-being, promotion of employment and social inclusion, and governance, decentralization and strategic management of the State. This document provides readers with data in the form of tables, graphs and maps, covering all areas (political, economic, social and cultural) of the Littoral region. For more detailed information, readers are invited to consult the INS website (www.ins-cameroun.cm) as well as the statistical yearbook of the Littoral region.
