It is placed under the technical supervision of the Ministry in charge of statistics. It has a legal personality and financial autonomy. Its headquarters are in Yaound\u00e9, the political capital of Cameroon.   <\/p>\n\n<p>The Directorate of the National Institute of Statistics is placed under the authority of a Director General, assisted by a Deputy.<\/p>\n\n<p>The General Management comprises:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Services Reporting to the Director General;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Central Services;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>External Services;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Services reporting to the Director General<\/h4>\n\n<p>They include:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the Inspection of Services;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Legal Unit;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Communication and Public Relations Unit;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Translation and Interpreting Unit;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Reception, Mail and Liaison Service;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Executive Assistants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">External services<\/h4>\n\n<p>They are made up of the Regional Agencies located in the ten (10) Regional Capitals<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Central services<\/h4>\n\n<p>They include:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the Department of Demographic and Social Statistics;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Department of Business Statistics;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Department of Economic Syntheses;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Department of Statistical Coordination, Cooperation and Research;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Department of Computer Science;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Directorate of Administrative and Financial Affairs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Organisation of the NSI<\/h4>\n<nav style=\"color: #307b63;
