This theme highlights the need to ensure trust in data, the importance of quality data, innovation and recalls the importance and public interest of national statistical systems. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The celebration of World Statistics Day 2020 is a global collaboration, organized under the leadership <a style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/unstats.un.org\/unsd\/statcom\/\">of the United Nations Statistical Commission<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The <a style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/development\/desa\/fr\/about\/desa-divisions\/statistics.html\">Statistics Division of the<\/a> <a style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/development\/desa\/fr\/\">United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs<\/a> is coordinating the global campaign for the Day and providing countries and other partners with resources and tools to raise awareness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This Day was established in 2010 by the Secretary-General of the United Nations and is celebrated every five years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In Cameroon, the WSD marks the beginning of the monthly payment called &#8220;the Month of Statistics&#8221; which ends on November 18 with the celebration of the African Statistics Day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Institute of Statistics of Cameroon joined the rest of the world in celebrating the third edition of World Statistics Day on October 20, 2020 on the theme: &#8221; Connecting the world with data we can trust &#8220;.
