{"id":17040,"date":"2014-11-07T14:13:34","date_gmt":"2014-11-07T13:13:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/post-campaign-survey-against-meningococcal-meningitis-for-the-population-aged-1-to-29-years-in-the-adamawa-and-north-west-regions-in-2012\/"},"modified":"2014-11-07T14:13:34","modified_gmt":"2014-11-07T13:13:34","slug":"post-campaign-survey-against-meningococcal-meningitis-for-the-population-aged-1-to-29-years-in-the-adamawa-and-north-west-regions-in-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/en\/post-campaign-survey-against-meningococcal-meningitis-for-the-population-aged-1-to-29-years-in-the-adamawa-and-north-west-regions-in-2012\/","title":{"rendered":"Post-campaign survey against meningococcal meningitis for the population aged 1 to 29 years in the Adamawa and North-West regions in 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main objective of the survey is to determine the vaccination coverage rate of meningitis during the vaccination campaign conducted from December 3 to 12 in the Adamawa and North-West regions.<\/p>\n<p>More specifically, this survey will make it possible to measure a number of indicators, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">vaccination coverage against meningitis of populations aged 1 to 29 years according to the age groups 12-59 months, 5-14 years, 15-29 years, and according to whether or not they have a vaccination card or record;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the reasons for non-vaccination reported by the target populations;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the proportion of target persons informed of the holding of this campaign before vaccination and the channel through which they were informed;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the proportion of target people who are aware of the role of meningitis vaccination;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the proportion of people who know the disease they are vaccinated against;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the proportion of people who have experienced an AEFI (a health condition thought to be related to the vaccine received);<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">the proportion of people who developed an AEFI and were cared for.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The target population of the survey is people aged 1 to 29 from the administrative regions of Adamawa and North-West.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The selected sample is composed of 1800 households, i.e. 900 for each region concerned. The sample was drawn from a three-stage draw. In the first degree, the ZDs were drawn, in the second degree, the households to be surveyed, then the targets (people aged 1 to 29) in the third degree.  <\/p>\n<p>Data collection began on December 19, 2012.
