Driven by food prices, which rose by 13.7%, inflation averaged <\/span>7.5% per year<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The National Institute of Statistics (INS) is pleased to publish the note on <\/span>the evolution of household final consumer prices for the month of May <\/span>2023. <\/span> <\/span>Compared to the previous month, household final consumer prices <\/span>rose<\/span>by 0.4% in May 2023, following a <\/span>0.7% increase in April.<\/span> This month’s price increase <\/span>was mainly due to a 1% increase <\/span> in food prices, a 0.3% increase in transport costs and a 0.3% <\/span> increase in “housing<\/span>” costs. water, gas, electricity and other fuels<\/span>“.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
