{"id":17609,"date":"2023-07-25T14:17:41","date_gmt":"2023-07-25T13:17:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/statistique\/analysis-note-first-quarter-2023-industrial-production-price-index-ippi\/"},"modified":"2023-07-25T14:17:41","modified_gmt":"2023-07-25T13:17:41","slug":"analysis-note-first-quarter-2023-industrial-production-price-index-ippi","status":"publish","type":"statistique","link":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/en\/statistique\/analysis-note-first-quarter-2023-industrial-production-price-index-ippi\/","title":{"rendered":"ANALYSIS NOTE First quarter 2023: INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION PRICE INDEX (IPPI)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span id=\"page1449R_mcid23\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Industrial producer prices fall in the first quarter of 2023<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"page1449R_mcid1\" class=\"markedContent\"><br \/>\n  <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">In the first quarter of 2023, industrial producer prices fell <\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"page1449R_mcid2\" class=\"markedContent\"><br \/>\n  <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">by 1.2% compared to the same quarter of the previous year (year-on-year). <\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"page1449R_mcid3\" class=\"markedContent\"><br \/>\n  <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Compared to 2022, which was marked by the Russia-Ukraine crisis and the disruption <\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"page1449R_mcid4\" class=\"markedContent\"><br \/>\n  <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">of supply chains, there is a gradual return to producer prices in the <\/span><br \/>\n<\/span> <span id=\"page1449R_mcid5\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">drop. This trend is mainly driven by the extractive industries that have experienced   <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page1449R_mcid6\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">a fall of 8.6%. In addition, the mineral manufacturing industries, including the   <\/span><\/span><span id=\"page1449R_mcid7\" class=\"markedContent\"><br \/>\n  <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">cement, recorded a decline of 1.3%, while the manufacture of metal products <\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"page1449R_mcid8\" class=\"markedContent\"><br \/>\n  <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">, particularly iron, posted a contraction of 2.2%. <\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"page1449R_mcid9\" class=\"markedContent\"><br \/>\n  <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">On the other hand, the production prices of the agri-food industries increased by 2.1% and <\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"page1449R_mcid10\" class=\"markedContent\"><br \/>\n  <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">those of the chemical and pharmaceutical industries increased significantly by 8.1%. <\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"page1449R_mcid11\" class=\"markedContent\"><br \/>\n  <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Compared to the fourth quarter of 2022, there was a quarterly decrease of 1% in prices in the<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><span id=\"page1449R_mcid12\" class=\"markedContent\"><br \/>\n  <br role=\"presentation\"><br \/>\n  <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">first quarter of 2023.<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","format":[626],"meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"annee":[],"region":[],"domaines":[],"class_list":["post-17609","statistique","type-statistique","status-publish","hentry","format-data"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/statistique\/17609","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/statistique"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/statistique"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/statistique\/17609\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=17609"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"annee","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/annee?post=17609"},{"taxonomy":"region","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/region?post=17609"},{"taxonomy":"format","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/format?post=17609"},{"taxonomy":"domaine","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/ins-cameroun.cm\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/domaines?post=17609"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
