In July 2026, household consumer prices increased by <strong>0.6% month-on-month<\/strong>, compared with <strong>0.5% in June<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a year-on-year basis, inflation reached <strong>3.4%<\/strong>, up from <strong>3.0% in June<\/strong> and <strong>2.7% in May 2026<\/strong>. This development confirms the gradual resurgence of inflationary pressures observed since March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over a longer period, however, the overall situation remains under control. The average inflation rate over the past twelve months remained stable at <strong>2.6%<\/strong>, below the <strong>3% community threshold set within the CEMAC zone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This situation reflects contrasting trends. While the medium-term outlook remains characterised by disinflation, more recent developments point to a gradual increase in inflationary pressures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This renewed upward trend is primarily driven by <strong>food prices<\/strong>, with <strong>fresh food products<\/strong> making a particularly significant contribution.
