Brief on trends in household final consumer prices in Douala in July 2022

Up by 13.9%, food product prices are fuelling inflationary pressures.

Compared to the previous month, a price increase of 0.6% was recorded in July 2022. Compared to the same month in 2021, the overall price level increased by 6.0%. On average over the past twelve months, prices rose by 3.6%, above the Central African Economic and Monetary Community threshold of 3%. The underlying inflation rate is 3.1%.
