The National Institute of Statistics (INS) is pleased to present the seventeenth edition of the Economic and Financial Survey of Enterprises for the year 2017.
This edition is presented, because of the theme covered, the level of coverage of resident productive units and the nature of the indicators, as a framework for summarizing information on the situation of enterprises. The indicators calculated by branch of activity relate in particular to economic and financial profitability, productivity, renewal of fixed assets, investments, level of debt and employment.
The concepts, definitions and ratios used are, for the most part, private accounting.
This study would also like, through analyses, to make available to public decision-makers, useful information for the management of the strengths and weaknesses of the evolution of activities, with a view to encouraging measures to situate the national economy on its optimal path of expansion.
Business leaders should also find valuable decision-making tools in order to make important strategic choices in terms of management, organization of the production and distribution chain, inventory management, efficient allocation of resources, optimal personnel management and research-innovation.
