The National Institute of Statistics (NIS) is pleased to announce the release of Component 2 of the 2022 Environmental Statistics Compendium, dedicated to environmental resources and their use. This component provides essential data for monitoring policies on the sustainable management of natural resources, in line with SDGs 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, and 15. It supports policymakers by highlighting the pressures exerted by human activities on water, land, air, biodiversity, and energy resources, thereby contributing to improved planning of environmental and sectoral policies.
