The National Institute of Statistics has released Component 5 of the 2022 Environmental Statistics Compendium, focused on human settlements and environmental health. This component explores living conditions in urban and rural areas, access to essential services (water, sanitation, energy), and the environmental impacts on public health. It serves as a decision-support tool for sustainable urban development, improved well-being, and reduction of inequalities, in line with SDGs 3, 6, and 11.
