ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND GENDER IN CAMEROON

[rank_math_breadcrumb]

In general, regardless of the type of enterprise considered, the proportion of women business promoters is less than 50%. This result reflects the low development of women’s entrepreneurship and indicates the efforts that still need to be made to ensure gender equality. Nevertheless, women are relatively better represented in VSE2, PE and ME compared to GEs (11.4%). This situation is partly due to the specialisation of women in the creation of VSEs and PEs, which are generally sole proprietorships.
