Evolution of household final consumer prices in Douala in August 2021

Decreasing pace of food price increases

In August 2021 and compared to last month, the Household Final Consumer Price Index (CPI)
increased by 0.1% after +0.5% in July. Compared to the same period in 2020, the general price level increased by 1.9% after +2.2% the previous month and +2.3% a year ago. On average over the last twelve months, the general price level increased by 1.9% as last month.
