Evolution of household final consumer prices in Douala in December 2021

Food prices increased by 4.1% in 2021.

In December 2021 and compared to last month, the Household
Final Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.2% after +0.2% the previous month. Compared to the same period in 2020, the general price level increased by 2.9% after +1.8% last month and +1.8% in the corresponding period of 2020. In 2021, the inflation rate stood at 1.9% after +2.3% in 2020, +2.4% in 2019 and +0.7% in 2018.
