Evolution of household final consumer prices in Yaoundé in December 2021

Prices of imported food products increased by 8.2% in 2021.

In December 2021 and compared to last month, the Household Final Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.0% after +0.2% in November. Compared to the same period in 2020, consumer prices increased by 3.1% after +2.2% last month. In 2021, the inflation rate was 1.8% in Yaoundé, after +2.0% in 2020, +2.4% in 2019 and +1.1% in 2018.
