Inflation developments in the first half of 2022

[rank_math_breadcrumb]

In the first half of 2022, household final consumer prices increased by 5.1% year-on-year. On average over the last twelve months, inflation stood at 3.8% in June 2022 compared to 2.2% for the same period in 2021. If the current rate of price increase is maintained, the inflation rate should be above 4% at the end of December 2022, in the absence of additional measures to be taken by the Government; in a more peaceful international context.
