Monetary position at the end of March 2012

At 31 March 2012, the monetary situation compared to the end of 2011 was characterised by a fall in net foreign assets (-6.0%) and domestic loans (-2.4%). As a result of its counterparts, the resources of the monetary system show a decrease of 4.3%. The upward trend in the money supply (M2) observed since the beginning of 2011 has been reversed. The latter has indeed deteriorated by 7.1%.
