Note on the evolution of household final consumer prices in Douala in November 2020 Decline in food prices

In November 2020 and compared to last month, the Household Final Consumer Price Index decreased by 0.1% after 5 consecutive months of increase. This price decline is linked to the decrease in the prices of food products (-0.3% after +0.9% in the previous month) and that of housing, water, gas, electricity and other fuels (-0.5% after +0.3% theprevious month). On the other hand, the prices of leisure and culture (+0.4% after +0.1% the previous month), alcoholic beverages,
tobacco and narcotics (+1.0% after +0.6% the previous month) as well as those of education (+0.7% after +0.2% the previous month
) continued to rise.
