Note on the evolution of household final consumer prices in Yaoundé in July 2022

Food prices, with a year-on-year increase of 13.7%, are fuelling the
inflationary pressures.

Compared to the previous month, the level general some price has increased in Julllet 2022 from 0,8%, chiefly due to of the increase of 1,5% Prices of food products and from Acceleration from 2,3% froms price some « Restaurants and hotels ». The increase in food prices was mainly due to the acceleration of 8.1% in the prices of oils and fats. Prices some vegetables, Fish and seafood as well as those some Breads and cereals continue to progress but at a slower paceheld only last month. On the other hand, the prices of Meat RecordsNt one drop from 0,5% after rising 1.9% last month. The rise in the prices of oils and fats is mainly due to the increase in the price of crude oils and refined oils. The prices of the vegetables Increasetent from 1,3% under the effect of some Outbreak Prices some pulses and oleaginous especially dare shelled peanuts. The 1.4% increase in the price of fish and seafood is linked to the increase in the prices of fish and otherdried or smoked products, fresh fish and fish and other seafood products
frozen.
