[rank_math_breadcrumb]

The second quarter of 2021 was marked by an improvement in economic activity, reflected in GDP growth of 4.2% compared to the corresponding quarter in 2020.
On the supply side, this evolution is the result of the performance of all sectors, despite a moderate pace in primary education. Indeed, the primary sector, whose activities slowed down (3.2% after 4.1% last quarter), recorded a contribution of 0.6 points to growth during this quarter. The secondary sector, with growth of 3.6% after 2.4% in the previous quarter, contributed 0.9 points to GDP growth, while the tertiary sector (4.9% after 2.1%) contributed 2.4 points to the quarter’s growth.
