Abstract : The main results of the GCUS5 indicate an economy that is resilient, but faces persistent poverty and increased vulnerability of households to the various shocks to which they are exposed. Indeed, with an average annual economic growth rate of 2.6% over the period 2020 to 2023, not far from the population growth rate of 2.5% per year, the poverty rate stands at 38.6% in 2021. Compared to the target of 30.8% set for the SND30 by 2030, there is nearly 8 points of gap to be closed. Accelerating and strengthening the implementation of the NSD30 and the sectoral strategies that underpin it are the way forward; special attention should be paid to policies aimed at mitigating the impacts of unavoidable shocks.
