The Regional Agencies of the INS, located in the ten regions of Cameroon, produce a regional statistical yearbook every year. The main objective of this book is to federate all the statistical productions of sectoral administrations, decentralized local authorities, parapublic and private companies in the region in a single document.
It provides disaggregated indicators at the level of municipalities in various areas in order to guide users in their strategic choices.
This approach is part of the general framework of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (SNDS), the major objective of which is to provide Cameroon with an efficient National Statistical Information System (SNIS) capable of meeting the needs of the user community. The NSDS is coordinated by the National Institute of Statistics at the national level and by the Regional Agencies of the NSI at the regional level. The data are collected from the various structures with the help of a guide and supplemented by the examination of any other official document available. A clearance is then carried out to ensure the quality of the information.
Data also come from large national surveys disaggregated at local level where possible. The regional statistical yearbook of Adamawa includes 22 chapters organized into 03 main parts: Territory and Climatology; Population and Social Affairs; Economic activities.
The first part situates the region in its physical setting and describes its institutional, administrative and political organization.
The second part highlights information on socio-demographic characteristics.
Finally, the third part traces the situation of the economy in all areas. The information is presented in the form of maps, graphs and tables.
