The National Institute of Statistics of Cameroon, with the support of World Bank experts, carried out the “Budget Tracking” survey in the health and education sectors in 2003 and 2004. On the strength of this experience, the INS is currently providing technical assistance to the Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies of Burundi in carrying out a survey on the monitoring of public spending in the education, health and justice sectors. Work began on 14 September 2007.
