Decreasing pace of food price increases
In August 2021 and compared to last month, the Household Final Consumer Price Index (CPI)
increased at a slower pace than in July (+0.2% after +0.3% the previous month). Compared to the same period in 2020, consumer prices increased at the same pace as last month (+2.0%), after +1.9% in August 2020. On average over the last twelve months, the increase in prices is +1.7% after +1.6% the previous month.
