Brief on trends in household final consumer prices in Yaounde in July 2022

Up by 13.7% year-on-year, food product prices are fuelling inflationary pressures.

Compared to the previous month, the overall price level rose by 0.8% in July 2022. Compared to the same month in 2021, prices rose by 6.8%. On average over the past twelve months, prices spiked by 3.9%, above the Central African Economic and Monetary Community threshold of 3%. The underlying inflation rate is 3.4%.
